It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Franklin, who journeyed to eternal rest on March 10, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on August 6, 1951, in Refugio, Texas, Sharon lived a life filled with joy, passion, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures. Residing in Fowlerton, Texas, she became a familiar and cherished figure in her community.

Sharon enjoyed dancing and watching old western movies as well as gardening, where she nurtured plants with patience and care.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Emily Brittain; husband, Leo Jerome "LJ" Franklin Jr.; and her sister, Catherine Louise Brooks Brittain.

She is survived by her brothers, James Thomas Brittain and wife Deborah and Jeff W. Brittain and wife Linda; brother-in-law, Wayne Brooks; along with 6 nephews and great-nephews and 3 nieces.

Funeral services to honor Sharon's memory will be Wednesday, March 26, 2025, beginning with a time of visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed immediately with a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.
