Obituary

Sheldon Eugen Strong passed away March 27, 2025 at the age of 46.  He was born November 19, 1978 in Monroe, Wisconsin to James Robert Strong and Mary Kay Strong.

Sheldon was 2 1/2 yrs old when his Mother started to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses in Wisconsin. He took to the Truth & loved serving Jehovah. Many times at that tender age he stood up for the Truth amazing people with his zeal and determination as he witnessed to them as to why he did not celebrate holidays.  When spending weekends with Grandparents, while eating at restaurants, no one could eat until
Sheldon said a prayer thanking Jehovah for the meal.  Sheldon loved his Book of Bible Stories. Every night his Mother read him a story with the
scriptures before he went to sleep. During the day, while playing in his toy room, Sheldon would insist his Mother play the cassette tapes to his Book of Bible Stories. He would have the book next to him on the floor and would turn the pages at the proper time even though he was to young to read himself.

Sheldon loved to comment at the Meetings. He would raise his hand & his Mother never knew what he was going to say. In his own words his comment would go along with the paragraph.  His physical health & mental ability started to decline when he was 7 yrs old.  Sheldon & his Mother relocated to Texas in 1991.  Throughout his life, his love for his heavenly Father, Jehovah & his determination to serve him never wavered.  Sheldon dedicated his life to his heavenly Father, Jehovah and was Baptized December 8, 2012 at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in San Antonio, Texas.

Sheldon was a life long fan of Nascar Sprint Cup Racing. He also liked to watch Spurs basketball games.  Sheldon enjoyed the 11 years he worked at the Camino Real Work Center for Handicapped Adults in Poteet, Texas.

Sheldon is survived by his loving Mother - Mary Kay Strong; his Special Aunt & Uncle - Nancy & Jerry Harris; his Special Cousin - Meagan Harris;
Father - James R Strong, Jr. (Monroe, WI); Maternal Grandmother - Alberta Hurst (Warren, IL); Uncles - Robert Hurst (Anna) (AZ) & Keith Hurst (IL). Sheldon has a large spiritual family who loves him.
