Obituary

Sylvia Jeanne Trevino
November 15, 1981 – July 31, 2026

It is with profound sadness and hearts full of love that we announce the passing of Sylvia Jeanne Trevino, age 44, who entered eternal rest peacefully on July 31, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on November 15, 1981, in San Benito, Texas, Sylvia lived a life that was full of love, laughter, and compassion. She was a light to everyone who knew her, and her beautiful spirit left a lasting impression on every person fortunate enough to cross her path.

To know Sylvia was to love her. She had an infectious smile, a laugh that could brighten any room, and a sense of humor that was truly one of a kind. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Whether you had known her for years or had only just met her, Sylvia had a way of making you feel like family.

She was a devoted daughter, loving sister, proud mother and grandmother, cherished aunt, beloved cousin, and loyal friend. Family meant everything to Sylvia, and she never missed an opportunity to remind those she loved just how much they meant to her. Her hugs were comforting, her words were encouraging, and her love was unconditional. She taught those around her to laugh often, love deeply, and never take a single moment with family for granted.

Although our hearts are broken, we choose to remember Sylvia for the joy she brought into our lives rather than the sorrow of losing her. Her kindness, strength, laughter, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. While her absence leaves an unimaginable void, her memory will forever be a source of comfort, inspiration, and love.

Sylvia will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever remembered.

Sylvia is lovingly survived by her mother, Jo Ann Stanley; her daughters, Darion Perez, Carrington Dubois, M.J. Oliver (Katlynn Oliver), and Shauna Hatfield; her sons, Jeffery and Jeremiah Abbot; her sister, Mandie Ybanez; her brother, Ralph Trevino; and her beloved grandchildren, Cohen, Kynzlee and Stetson Brack, Clinton and Leila Carbaugh, Noah Dubois, and Westin Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rafael Trevino; her brother, Evaristo "Eloy" Trevino; and her grandparents, Alex Garcia Sr. and Sylvia Muniz Garcia.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Sylvia's life on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gurwitz Community Center, 104 N. Harborth Ave., Three Rivers, Texas 78071.

Her love will remain in our hearts forever, and her memory will continue to bring us strength until we are together again.
