Teresa Gallegos Jimenez, of Charlotte, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the age of 74.  She was born in Palacios on August 24, 1950, to Roberto Gallegos, Sr. and Petra (Ortiz) Gallegos.

Teresa was known for her love of sewing, cooking delicious enchiladas and tortillas, and tending to her beautiful rose bushes.  She was also known to bring joy and warmth to all who knew her.

As a nurse and former employee of SAS Shoes, Teresa dedicated her life to caring for others and providing comfort in times of need. Her passion for gardening and collecting figurines was a true reflection of her creative spirit and attention to detail.  Those who knew and loved Teresa will always cherish the memories and traditions she passed down to them.

She was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Vicente Gallegos.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Jesus Jimenez, Sr.; daughters, Jessica Godinez (Luis) and Rosemary Cavazos (Jay); sons, Louis Gallegos (Margaret) and Jesus G. Jimenez, Jr. (Elsa Juarez); 6 grandchildren, Julia Cavazos, Joseph Obregon, Christopher Luis Godinez, Joshua Luis Godinez, Abraham Garcia, Jr., Jesus Louis Jimenez, III and Tessa Emili Jimenez; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexander Garcia, Gavin Garcia and Armani Garcia; brothers, Roberto Gallegos, Jr. and Frank Gallegos; sisters, Lupe Leal, Mary Lou Gallegos, Paulina Gonzales and Rosalind Thummalapalli; along with other family and friends.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel, starting at 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  Mass will be Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at St. Andrew Catholic Church starting at 10:00 am followed by burial at Charlotte Community Cemetery.  Following the burial, there will be a reception a Emmanuel Baptist Church, 173 Yule Ave, Charlotte, Tx.  Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite dish to share in honor of Teresa and her love of cooking.
