Join us in the celebrating the life of Victor Casarez Huizar. Victor, a proud native of Leming, Texas, passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 81 in Pleasanton Texas. Victor was born September 20, 1942 in Leming Texas to Bruno and Mauricia (Casarez) Huizar.

Victor dedicated 30 years as a butcher in a meat processing plant. Beyond the butcher shop, he found joy in fishing, the buzz of the casino, playing the Texas Lottery, indulging in card games, and relishing precious moments with his family, and Cindy, his four-legged companion, who will dearly miss him.

Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Bruno and Mauricia Huizar; and sisters, Nora Moya and husband Baldamar, Corina Talamantez and husband Celestino.

He will be lovingly remembered by his niece, Melinda (Ray) Casanova; children, Victor (Raquel) Huizar, Celia (Robert) Siling; first wife, Mary A. Huizar; grandchildren, Harley (Kyle) Wall, Tristan (Mackenzie) Siling; great grandchildren, Remington, Tayen Siling and Laramie Wall; brother, Pedro Celestino (Mary Ann) Huizar; sisters, Maria Lurdes (Dario) Hernandez, Juanita C. Huizar, Rita (Esiquio) Prado, Consuelo (Robert deceased) Silva-Guerrero, Esparanza (Amador) Gonzalez, and numerous nieces and nephews  Victor is also survived by his stepchildren, Maria (John) Zelonis, Carmen (David) Roden, Antonio A. Campos, Kimberly Moore; step grandchildren, Sean (Krystal) Zelonis, Gabriel Villarreal, Mason Zelonis, Alyssa Roden, Carlee Roden, Antonio Campos, Julian Campos, Angelica, Uriah, Kimberly, Louis Guerra and Frankie, Sincerely Apodaca with second wife, Celia Huizar.

We invite you to celebrate Victor's life at the upcoming funeral service. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 28 starting at 8:30 AM with the rosary being recited at 10:00 AM at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 11:00 AM.

Victor will be laid to rest at Huizar Family Cemetery, 2037 St. Augustine Road, Pleasanton, Texas 78064 on February 28, 2024 at 12:15 PM
