It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vicente Ascencio Loza Jr., who left us peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on February 13, 1959, in Tilden, TX, Vicente was a cherished son, a beloved father, and a true friend to many.

Vicente lived a life full of adventure and hard work. Throughout the years, he held various jobs, primarily as a ranch hand, but he was much more than his occupation; he was a man of many talents. Whether guiding hunts or displaying his craftsmanship in knife-making and leatherwork, Vicente approached everything with enthusiasm and a creative spirit. His hands were rarely still, always busy creating something new or lending a helping hand to a friend.

Families, friends, and neighbors will remember Vicente as the life of the party. He loved to weave tales that brought joy and laughter, complemented by his favorite music and the occasional cold beer. Vicente's warmth, humor, and infectious spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Vicente is survived by his devoted mother, Elida Serrata, his sons Adam Loza, Lorenzo Loza, Teddy Stiltner (Melissa), and Broedy Loza;  his daughter Jessica Weaver and Hailey Loza; brothers Joe Loza (Laura), Matthew Serrata, and Jake Serrata (Bailey); sisters Mary Garcia (Felipe), Rosa Breazeale (Charles), Sally Loza (Alvado), and Valerie Merchant (Neil); grandchildren Bridgette Weaver, Draven Weaver, Alyssa Weaver, Adam Loza Jr., Faith Loza, Hensley Loza,  Lilliana Stiltner and Teddy Stiltner Jr.

May he rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to dance among us, forever vibrant and full of life.

Vicente was preceded in death by: Father Vicente Loza Sr and sisters Joann Lopez and Margie Serrata.
