Virginia Brown
Ramirez
Oct 18, 1941 — Jul 3, 2026
Poteet
Virginia Brown Ramirez, 84, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Poteet, Texas. She was born on October 18, 1941, in Rossville, Texas, to Antonio Cortinas Brown and Cecilia (Gonzales) Brown.
Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Mary Ann Vasquez, as well as her parents, and siblings George Brown, Mary Helen Garza, and Susie B. Martinez.
She is lovingly survived by her children Eloy Ramirez Jr. (Cindy), Stella Crowson (Larry), Ernestina Ramirez (Joe), Brenda Leija (Rey), Ricky Ramirez (Bertha), Alice Lucio (Paul), Christina Inouye (David) and her brother, Tony Brown Jr. (Gloria).
Virginia's greatest pride and joy was her family. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 28 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 additional great-great-grandchild expected to arrive later this year.
Virginia was known for her strong will and independence, qualities that helped her navigate both the joys and challenges of life. She was unapologetically honest, standing firmly for her beliefs while always placing her family's needs above her own. Beneath her resilient exterior lay a heart brimming with compassion and unconditional love. As a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she possessed a nurturing spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer encouragement.
Virginia took delight in tending to her garden and spending time outdoors. But it was in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that her heart truly soured. Each moment spent sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories was a treasure she held dear.
Virginia's unwavering strength, generous spirit, and deep love for her family will forever be cherished. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
