William Donald Williamson, age 80, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on March 31, 1946, in Poteet, Texas, to George Norman Williamson and Velma (Hughes) Williamson.

William was a hardworking man who spent his years in construction, where he became a skilled master carpenter. He took great pride in working with his hands and a job well done. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for ranching and working cattle. These were more than just pastimes to William; they were a way of life that brought him happiness and fulfillment.

William is survived by his loving daughter, Lanett McQueen; son, Daniel Opiela and wife, Paula; brother, Ray Williamson; and four cherished grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clare Williamson, and his parents, George Norman and Velma Williamson.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, in Hurley Funeral Home – Stateroom B, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, followed by a graveside service at Rutledge Cemetery in Poteet, starting at 11:00 am.
