William (Bill) Joe Jaksik passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the age of 93.  He was born on July 14, 1931, in Campbellton to Frank Joseph Jaksik and Agnes (Barta) Jaksik.

Bill was a true family man and a hardworking man, devoted to providing for his family and ensuring they were taken care of.  He was known for his skills as a handyman, always ready to lend a hand to fix anything that needed repair.

Bill worked on the family dairy farm for 28 years.  After the dairy closed down, he was the greenskeeper at the Pleasanton Country Club until his retirement.

Bill always believed that a loud home was a happy home, and he loved it when all of his family was there. During Christmas time, Bill's love for his family shone as he gathered them around for lively games of poker and dominos, and he loved telling stories of the past. Bill had a love for sweets and in his earlier years, he loved to bake cakes and brought smiles to everyone he shared them with.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Rose Marie Jaksik; and his parents.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Rivera (Domingo), David Jaksik (Cyndi), Janet Pennartz (Bert), Irene Swygard (Steven), and Karen Gladwin (Stephen); grandchildren, Shawn, Stephanie, Clint, Amanda, Kevin, Kimberley, Bryan, Kelli, Valerie, Thomas, Michael, and Brandon; along with 9 great-grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 29, 2024, in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel, starting at 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  A prayer service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel starting at 10:00 am, followed by burial at St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery in Jourdanton.
