Candida Ortiz beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on May 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ascension C. Ortiz, daughter, Jessica Ortiz; sisters, Juanita Costa and Lydia Vera. Candida is survived by her loving sons, Carlo Antonio Ortiz, Paul Ortiz, Ascension Ortiz, Jr., Thomas Ortiz; daughters, Alma O. Ortiz, Mary Ann Pedroza, Amalia Sarabia; brother, Gustavo Ozuna; sister, Manuelita Ozuna; 21 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm-9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Devine, Texas on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.  A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Natalia, Texas followed by interment in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
