Darrell Boyd Murdock, age 92 of Devine, Texas went to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Darrell was born on February 7, 1929, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to parents, Grover Cleveland and Aggie Lee Murdock. He proudly served in US Marine Corps, was Devine's first City Electrical Inspector, long time member and Deacon of the Devine First Baptist Church. He was a Past Master of the Devine Masonic Lodge and 55-year Tenured member of the Devine Lions Club.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland Murdock and Aggie Lee (Harkie) Murdock; four brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Fay Murdock; sons, Douglas Bryan Murdock and wife Deanna Lynn Murdock, Roger Portland Murdock and wife Munkhchimeg Murdock; grandchildren, Mandy Moore and husband Chris Moore, Krissy Wilson and husband Chris Wilson, Sandy Lawler and husband Marty Lawler, Alisa Murdock; great-grandchildren, Lynn Lawler, Bryan Moore, Zachary Wilson, MJ Lawler, Katie Moore, Elijah Wilson, Travis Lawler, and Aggie Lawler; five nephews and three nieces.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021, 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, Devine, Texas. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 19, 2021, 10:00 A.M. First Baptist Church of Devine with interment to follow in Evergreen cemetery.
