Emma Medrano Ventura, 83, of Pearsall, passed away on February 12, 2021, in San Antonio. She was born in Charlotte, Texas on Christmas day, 1937 to Jose Lopez Medrano and Maria Basaldua Medrano.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Benito Ventura; brothers, Carlos Medrano Sr. and Raul Medrano Sr.

Survivors include her children Benito and Gabby Ventura Jr., Guadalupe Ventura, Raymond and Sylvia Ventura, and Blanca V Vargas; one brother Jose Medrano Jr., and one sister, Mary Loredo; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 25 ^th in the Hurley Funeral Home of Pearsall, beginning at 2:00 PM, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, February 26, 2021, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Catholic East Cemetery in Pearsall.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 Pandemic, face masks will be mandatory and social distancing will be observed.
