Ignacio Gonzales, Jr. age 82 of Devine, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 23, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on September 12, 1938, in Devine, Texas to parents, Ignacio and Cruz Covarrubia Gonzales, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Cruz Covarrubia Gonzales, Sr.; wife of 52 years of marriage, Mary Esther Gonzales; brothers and sisters, Anita Cortez, Madeline Webb, Dalia Cardenas, Benito Gonzales, and Johnny Gonzales.
Ignacio is survived by his sons and daughters, Paul (Dorothy) Gonzales; Randolph Gonzales, Celina (David) Rodriguez, Javier Gonzales, Margo (Mike) Miles, Isaac Gonzales; Nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Sandy Flores, Carrie Ramon, Ruben Gonzales, Albert Gonzales, Roy Gonzales, George Gonzales; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 2:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, Devine, Texas with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Devine, Texas. Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 30, 2021, 10:00 A.M. St. Joseph's Catholic Church Devine, Texas with interment to follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
