Sophia Munoz Espinoza, age 75, passed away peacefully May 7th, 2022. She was born March 20th, 1947, in Devine, Tx to Jose and Maria Munoz. She later married the love of her life, Roberto Espinoza on May 14th, 1968.

Sophia loved life and all that it offered her. She was a woman of strong faith, with a heart of gold. Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved playing bingo with friends and family, and her daily visits with her grandchildren. She enjoyed her phone calls with her sisters, or just cooking a hot meal for anyone that would stop by and visit. If you knew Sophia you would say she was the most generous, selfless, caring person. She extended her gracious love to anyone and everyone in need of it. "This is my commandment: love each other just as I have loved you". John 15:12

Sophia is preceded in death by her father Jose Munoz, mother Maria Munoz, brothers Emilio Munoz, Ernesto Munoz, and Joe Munoz.

Sophia is survived by her beloved husband Roberto Espinoza. Children Benito Espinoza and Michael Espinoza (Edna), sister Olivia Fraga (Rey), sister Mary Lou Aguilar (Robert), sister Rosalinda Peña (Luciano). Grandchildren Melissa Petry, Ashley Martinez, Jordan Martinez, Stephanie Espinoza, Amy Espinoza Jeffcoat (Mark), Christian Espinoza, Michael Ryan Espinoza, Laura Espinoza, Joseph Espinoza. Great Grandchildren Aiden Espinoza, Emmalee Espinoza, Wyatt Belor, Neveah Espinoza, Ezra Jeffcoat, Ava Jeffcoat, Avery Garza.

Visitation will be Monday May 16, 2022, from 2:00PM-9:00PM at the Hurley Funeral Home Devine Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7:00PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
